چکیده
Abstract Autonomous vehicles create new opportunities as well challenges to dynamic vehicle routing. The introduction of autonomous information-collecting agents results in scenarios, where nodes are found by proximity. This paper presents a novel vehicle-routing problem variant with proximity-dependent nodes. Here, we introduced variable, detectability , which determines whether proximal node will be detected, based on the sight radius vehicle. considered is motivated weed-spraying large agricultural operations. work generalisable many other applications. first step crafting solution approach for decide when reoptimisation should triggered. Two trigger strategies considered—exogenous and endogenous. Computational experiments compared both classical routing variant. Experiments used extensive standardised benchmarks varying degrees dynamism geographical distributions. showed that variant, an endogenous strategy better most cases, while exogenous only suitable low. Furthermore, optimal level was shown dependent combination trigger, degree dynamism, distribution, meaning practitioners may determine required attributes their specific problem.

Waiting Strategies for Dynamic Vehicle Routing
M real-world vehicle routing problems are dynamic optimization problems, with customer requests arriving over time, requiring a repeated reoptimization. In this paper, we consider a dynamic vehicle routing problem where one additional customer arrives at a beforehand unknown location when the vehicles are already under way. Our objective is to maximize the probability that the additional custom...
متن کاملSTOCHASTIC VEHICLE ROUTING PROBLEMS WITH SIMULTANEOUS PICKUP AND DELIVERY SERVICES
The problem of designing a set of routes with minimum cost to serve a collection of customers with a fleet of vehicles is a fundamental challenge when the number of customers to be dropped or picked up is not known during the planning horizon. The purpose of this paper is to develop a vehicle routing Problem (VRP) model that addresses stochastic simultaneous pickup and delivery in the urban pub...

This survey classiVes routing problems from the perspective of information quality and evolution. After presenting a general description of dynamic routing, we introduce the...
متن کاملPricing in Dynamic Vehicle Routing Problems
The principal focus of this paper is to study carrier pricing decisions for a type of vehicle routing problems defined in a competitive and dynamic environment. This paper introduces the Vehicle Routing Problem in a Competitive Environment (VRPCE), as an extension of the Traveling Salesman Problem with Profits (TSPP) to a dynamic competitive auction environment. In the VRPCE, the carrier must e...
متن کاملEfficient Local Search Limitation Strategies for Vehicle Routing Problems
In this paper we examine five different strategies for limiting the local search neighborhoods in the context of vehicle routing problems. The vehicle routing problem deals with the assignment of a set of transportation orders to a fleet of vehicles, and the sequencing of stops for each vehicle to minimize transportation costs. The examined strategies are applied to four standard neighborhoods ...
